G-VKSS Shannon Diversion
Virgin Atlantic A330-300 G-VKSS operating the VS76 Orlando-Manchester route inverted via Shannon on the 4th October. This was due to a loud bang being heard in the cabin whilst over west Ireland. The crew of the aircraft decided to divert to Shannon. While diverting the aircraft declared PAN due to handling problems. The aircraft landed safely and later in the day a fracture was discovered in a spoiler. The aircraft is likely to stay at Shannon whilst the issue is resolved.
