Emirates A380 A6-EDA Sydney turnback
Airbus A380-800 A6-EDA operating the EK413 Sydney to Dubai was at about 19,000 feet when it was forced to fly over the sea and dump fuel before heading back to Sydney. Passengers on board the aircraft said that they saw flames as big as 2 meters coming out of the engine #3 and that the aircraft was shaking. The aircraft made a safe landing at Sydney and is grounded there until the problem is resolved and the aircraft is safe to fly again. The passengers have been accommodated overnight and will be put onto alternative flights.
