Lightning strikes G-BNLS

Lightning struck British Airways B747-400 G-BNLS on approach to Miami operating on the BA207 route. This meant that it was unable to operate the return BA206. G-CIVN that had operated the BA209 service was turned as quickly as possible to operate the BA206 back to LHR with minimal delay. It was hoped that G-BNLS would have been repaired ready to operate the return BA208 that G-CIVN should have operated. However the repairs tool longer than anticipated and the return flight has now been delayed overnight.
